Shorea guiso (Blanco) Blume
Tree, 20-40 m tall, of the mixed Dipterocarpus forests or dense hill forests up to 600 m. Reddish grey, inferior wood, used for the inside works. The resin, called "chörchông", is used to varnish boats, furniture or for the preparation of the torches.
ជ័រចុង, កំឡែង, ផ្ចឹកភ្នំ
ព្រឹក្សមួយប្រភេទ កំពស់ ២០-៤០ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃស្ទើធំ ឬព្រៃធំលើដីទួល និងភ្នំទាបៗ ដែលខ្ពស់ត្រឹម ៦០០ម ។ ឈើពណ៌ប្រផេះ លាយក្រហមភា្លវ មិនសូវជាប់ទេ តែអាចប្រើជាគ្រឿងផ្ទះរាយរងបាន ។ ជ័រនៃដើមនេះ ហៅថា " ជ័រចុង " សំរាប់លាប តុ ទូ ឬសំរាប់ធ្វើចន្លុះ ។
ភាសាបារាំង
Arbre, haut de 20-40 m, des forêts mixtes à Dipterocarpacées ou des forêts denses des collines jusqu’à 600 m d’altitude. Bois gris rougeâtre, médiocre, employé pour les travaux d’intérieur. L’oléorésine, appelée « chörchông » est utilisée pour vernir les bateaux, les meubles ou pour la confection des torches.
