Nypa fruticans Wurmb
Palm tree, 2 to 10 m tall, growing in the salt or brackish water of the mangroves of Asia and Oceania. The leaves are used for wrapping cakes, such as "num katâm" and to cover roofs. The inflorescences can be used, as those of the sugar palm tree, to make sugar, vinegar and alcohol.

ចាកជាតាលព្រឹក្ស កំពស់ ២-១០ម ដុះក្នុងទឹកប្រៃសមុទ្រ ឬទឹកដែលមានរសប្រហែល និងទឹកសមុទ្រ ក្នុងព្រៃកោងកាង នៃទ្វីបអាស៊ី និងអូសេអានី ។ ស្លឹកគេប្រើសម្រាប់ខ្ទប់រំនំកាតំ ឬសម្រាប់ប្រក់ផ្ទះ ។ ផ្កាគេអាចប្រើ ដូចផ្កាត្នោតក៏បានដែរ គឺកៀបចំរាញ់ ធ្វើស្ករ ទឹកខ្មេះ និងស្រាជាដើម ។
ភាសាបារាំង
Palmier, haut de 2 à 10 m, croissant dans l’eau salée ou saumâtre des mangroves d’Asie et d’Océanie. Les feuilles servent à envelopper certains gâteaux, tels que « num katâm » et souvent à couvrir les toitures. Les inflorescences peuvent être utilisées, comme celles du palmier à sucre, pour la fabrication du sucre, du vinaigre et de l’alcool.
