Dysoxylum loureiri Pierre
Tree, 20-35 m tall, of wet dense forests of low altitude, abounding especially near the coast. Species endemic of Cambodia and Southern Vietnam. Wood, light yellow, very nice-smelling, incorruptible but splitting under the influence of high temperatures. It is of use to the preparation of luxury furniture and coffins. It is also burned in the Buddhist temples. The essential oil is used traditional medicine as diuretic and cardiotonic.

ឈ្មោះព្រឹក្សមួយប្រភេទ កំពស់ ២០-៣៥ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃក្រាស់ត្រជាក់ច្រើនមានលើដីទំនាប និងជិតមាត់សមុទ្រ នៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា និងវៀតណាមខាងត្បូង ។ ឈើពណ៌លឿងភាវក្លិនក្រអូបណាស់ មិនចេះរលួយតែអាចបែកក្រហែង ពេលក្តៅខ្លាំងពេក ។ គេប្រើឈើនេះសម្រាប់ធ្វើតុ ទូ ដែលមានតម្លៃ និងធ្វើមឈូសប្រណិត ។ ពេលខ្លះគេយកឈើចិតស្តើងៗ ដុត ថ្វាយព្រះ ។ ប្រេងក្រអូបសម្រាប់ធ្វើថ្នាំព្យាបាលជម្ងឺស្ទះនោម និងបេះដូងខ្សោយ ។
ភាសាបារាំង
Arbre, haut de 20-35 m, des forêts denses humides de basse altitude, abondant surtout près du littoral. Espèce endémique du Cambodge et du Sud-Viêt-nam. Bois, jaune clair, très odorant, incorruptible mais se fendant sous l’influence des températures élevées. Il sert à la confection des meubles précieux et des cercueils de luxe. Il sert aussi à brûler dans les temples bouddhiques. L’huile essentielle s’emploie en pharmacopée comme diurétique et cardiotonique.
