Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers.
Stoloniferous herb, prostrated, with rhizomes profoundly rooted in the ground, down to 0.80-1 m, originating from the Africa and Southeast Asia, introduced into all the tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It is met in lawn and in the uncultivated places of road sides. Fodder herb, grazed by the cattle. This species is sometimes cultivated to fix bank lands. Rhizomes are used to make a diuretic drink.
ស្មៅចិញ្ចៀន
ឈ្មោះស្មៅមួយប្រភេទ មានមែកវារលើដីចាក់ឬស នៅគ្រប់ថ្នាំង ហើយចេញមើមកប់ក្នុងដីជម្រៅ ០,៨០-១ម ។ ស្មៅចិញ្ចៀនមានដើមកំណើតក្នុងប្រទេសអាហ្វ្រិក និងអាស៊ីផ្នែកអាគ្នេយ៍ នាំចូលគ្រប់ស្រុកក្តៅ និងក្តៅមធ្យមសកលលោក ។ គេប្រទះឃើញរុក្ខជាតិនេះ ដុះលើវាលស្មៅ លើដីណាគ្មានដំណាំ ឬតាមមាត់ផ្លូវដើរ ។ ស្មៅនេះជាអាហារសត្វពាហនៈ ។ ពេលខ្លះ គេដាំស្មៅចិញ្ចៀនសម្រាប់ទប់ដីជំរាល ។ មើមស្មៅនេះគេស្ងោរផឹកឱ្យនោមច្រើន ។
ភាសាបារាំង
Herbe stolonifère, prostrée, à rhizomes profondément enracinés dans le sol, jusqu’à 0,80-1 m de profondeur, originaire de l’Afrique et de l’Asie du Sud-Est, introduite dans toutes les régions tropicales et subtropicales du monde. On la rencontre en pelouse et dans les lieux incultes, du bord des chemins. Herbe fourragère, broutée par le bétail. Cette espèce est parfois cultivée pour fixer les terres des talus. Les rhizomes servent à faire une boisson diurétique.
