Cassia timoriensis DC.
Shrub or small tree, 6-15 m tall, of decideous Dipterocarpus forests especially on calcareous soils, met from Ceylon, through the Southeast Asia up to the North of Australia.
The wood resists well to the bad weather and to the insects; it is looked for the construction and is suitable to make ordinary cases and planks. The young leaves and flowers are edible. The raw fruits are said to be vermifuge (against the Ascaris).

Arbuste ou petit arbre haut de 6-15 m des forêts décidues à Diptérocarpacées surtout sur sols calcaires. rencontré depuis Ceylan, à travers le Sud-Est Asiatique jusqu’au Nord de l’Australie.
Le bois résiste bien aux intempéries et aux insects ; il est recherché pour la construction et convient bien pour la caisserie et la menuiserie ordinaire. Les jeunes feuilles et fleurs sont comestibles. Les fruits crus sont réputés vermifuges (contre les Ascaris).
