Xylopia pierrei Hance
Tree, 8-15 m tall, of the secondary formations of plain, in Cambodia and Southern Vietnam. Often planted as decorative. Bark is gray outside, red inside, and may replace arec in betel quid. Yellowish wood, hard and light, used in internal works and as pendulums, stretchers of car, bows, tools handles.

ព្រឹក្សមួយប្រភេទ កំពស់ ៨-១៥ម ដុះក្នុងព្ រៃល្បោះលើទីទំនាប នៃប្រទេសខ្មែរ និង វៀតណាមខាងត្បូង ។ គេច្រើនដាំជាដើមលំអ ។ សំបកពណ៌ប្រផេះខាងក្រៅ, ក្រហមខាងក្នុង អាចស៊ីជាមួយម្លូជំនួសស្លាបាន ។ ឈើពណ៌លឿងភ្លាវរឹង តែស្រាល គេអាចប្រើបានច្រើនយ៉ាង ធ្វើជាគ្រឿងផ្ទះរាយរង ធ្វើជាប៉ោល ជាស្នែងរទេះ ធ្នូ និង ដងកាំបិត ពូថៅជាដើម ។

Arbre, haut de 8-15 m, des formations secondaires de la plaine, du Cambodge et du Sud-Viêt-nam. Souvent planté comme ornemental. Ecorce grisâtre au-dehors, rouge en dedans, pouvant remplacer l’arec dans la chique du bétel. Bois jaunâtre, dur et léger, employé dans les œuvres intérieures de construction et comme balanciers, brancards de voiture, arcs, manches d’outils.
