Vetiveria zizanioides (L.) Nash ex Small
Perennial herb, 1-1.50 m or more, of the sunny places and along the roads of the tropical regions of the world. Rhizomes and roots have an aromatic smell. By distillation, various commercial essences can be extracted from it. In Cambodia, especially plentiful in the flooded plains, the plant is used to scent toilet oils and to protect the fabrics from insects. The leaves are used for roofing.

ឈ្មោះតិណជាតិរស់បានយូរមួយប្រភេទកំពស់១-១,៥០ម ស្លឹកល្អិតៗដុះលើទីវាលកណ្ដាលថ្ងៃ និងតាមមាត់ផ្លូវនៃប្រទេសក្ដៅសកលលោក ។ មើម និងឬសមានក្លិនក្រអូប គេអាចប្រើវាចំហុយយកញើសប្រេងផ្សេងៗ ។ នៅប្រទេសខ្មែរដើមស្គា ច្រើនដុះក្នុងព្រៃរនាមជុំវិញទន្លេសាប អ្នកស្រុកទីនោះ ប្រើ មើម និងឬស សំរាប់ធ្វើប្រេងលាបខ្លួនអោយក្រអូប និងការពារសំពត់កុំអោយសត្វល្អិតស៊ី ។ ស្លឹកអាចប្រើប្រក់ ដំបូលផ្ទះបាន ។

Herbe vivace, haute de 1-1,50 m ou plus des endroits ensoleillés et le long des chemins des régions tropicales du monde. Les rhizomes et les racines ont une odeur aromatique. Par distillation, on peut en retirer des essences commerciales variées. Au Cambodge, la plante, abondante surtout dans les plaines inondées, est utilisée pour parfumer les huiles de toilette et pour préserver les tissus des attaques des insectes. Les feuilles servent à couvrir les toits des habitations.
