UVARIA (Annonaceae)
Uvaria purpurea Blume
Large liana with red hairy twigs, hairless afterwards, 5-10 m long, of the dense and secondary formations of tropical Asia. The fruits, with light yellow flesh, are edible. They are much in demand by the chives, which gave their khmer name.

វល្លិធំមួយពួកមែកធាងពណ៌ទង់ដែងប្រវែង៥-១០ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃធំ និងព្រៃល្បោះនៃអាស៊ីផ្នែកក្ដៅ ។ ផ្លែមានសាច់ពណ៌លឿងខ្ចីអាចបរិភោគបាន ។ សត្វសំពោច ចូលចិត្តស៊ីផ្លែនេះណាស់ ។

Grande liane à rameaux tomenteux roux puis glabres, longue de 5-10 m, des formations denses et secondaires de l’Asie tropicale. Les fruits à chair jaune clair sont comestibles. Ils sont très recherchés par les civettes, d’où leur nom khmer.
