Syzygium jambos (L.) Alston
Small tree, 6-15 m tall, originating from the Indo-Malay regions and cultivated in Southeast Asia for its edible fruits. In Cambodia, the water produced by the maceration of leaves is considered as antifeverish. The pulverized leaves are rubbed on the body in the case of smallpox.

Petit arbre, haut de 6-15 m, originaire des régions indo-malaise et cultivé dans le Sud-Est Asiatique pour ses fruits comestibles. Au Cambodge, l’eau de macération des feuilles est considérée comme antifébrile. Les feuilles pulvérisées sont frottées sur le corps dans le cas de variole.
