STERCULIA (Sterculiaceae)
Sterculia alata Roxb.
Tree, 15-30 m tall, of the dense and secondary formations of Southeast Asia. Wood, graded 3rd category. used for toys and packagings. The edible seeds, are eaten especially by some ethnic groups of the highlands (Moï) in spite of the itch and the slumber they cause.

ព្រឹក្សមួយប្រភេទ កំពស់១៥-៣០ម ដុះក្នុងព្រ ៃធំឬព្រៃស្រោង នៃអាស៊ីផ្នែកអាគ្នេយ៍។ ឈើជាឈើរលេខ៣ សម្រាប់ ធ្វើប្រដាប់ក្មេងលេង និងធ្វើជាប្រអប់ផ្សេងៗ ។ គ្រាប់អាចបរិភោគបានតែអាចធ្វើអោយស្កៀបកឬ អោយងងុយដេក ច្រើនតែ ពួកក្មងទ ដលបរិភោគវា ។

Arbre, haut de 15-30 m des formations denses et secondaires du Sud-Est Asiatique. Bois, classé 3è catégorie, employé pour les jouets et pour les emballages. Les graines comestibles, sont mangées surtout par certaines peuplades des hauts-plateaux (Moï) malgré le fourmillement et la somnolence qu’elles occasionnent.
