Shorea thorelii Pierre
Tree, 30-40 m tall, of the dry dense forests between 50 and 300 m and secondary formations of the Indochinese Peninsula. Wood, graded 2nd category, used for the small inside works. The resin of the trunk is harvested for the caulking of boats. The bark mixed in the food would make sterile the sows. The same is said of women.

ព្រឹក្សមួយប្រភេទ កំពស់ ៣០-៤០ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃធំស្ងួត ដែលមានឧព្វេធពី ៥០ ទៅ ៣០០ម និងដុះក្នុងព្រៃល្បោះ នៃឧបទ្វីបឥណ្ឌូចិន ។ ឈើលេខ២ សំរាប់ធ្វើគ្រឿងរាយរង សង់ផ្ទះ ។ ជ័រដើមគេត្រងសំរាប់បិទនៀវនាវា ។ បើគេលាយជ័រនេះជាមួយបាយជ្រូកៗញី នឹងទៅជា អា ។ គេស្មានថាប្រហែលជ័រនេះ អាចធ្វើឱ្យនារីទៅជាអាដែរ ។

Arbre, haut de 30-40 m, des forêts denses sèches entre 50 et 300 m d’altitude et des formations secondaires de la péninsule indochinoise. Bois, classé 2è catégorie, utilisé pour les petits travaux intérieurs. La résine du tronc est récoltée pour le calfatage des embarcations. L’écorce mélangée à la nourriture rendrait stérile les truies. On pense qu’il en serait de même pour les femmes.
