Schumannianthus dichotomus (Roxb.) Gagnep.
Large herb, 1-3 m tall. of the wet dense forests and flooded forests of tropical Asia, often cultivated near houses on wet grounds. The stalk is of use to the manufacture of mats; it is also used as link. The leaves are used to wrap goods.

Grande herbe, haute de 1-3 m. des forêts denses humides et des forêts inondées, de l’Asie tropicale, souvent cultivée près des habitations sur terrains humides. La tige sert à la fabrication des nattes ; on l’utilise également comme lien. Les feuilles peuvent servir à envelopper des marchandises.
