Rhizophora mucronata Poir.
Tree or shrub, 2-8 m tall, often growing in mixture with the previous species, in the mangroves of tropical regions of the world. The barks, rich in tannins, are used for the dyeing and the tanning of skins.

Arbre ou arbuste, haut de 2-8 m, croissant souvent en mélange avec l’espèce précédente, dans les mangroves des régions tropicales du monde. Les écorces, riches en tannins, servent pour la teinture et le tannage des peaux.
