POLYALTHIA (Annonaceae)
Polyalthia thorelii Finet & Gagnep.
Tree, 8-12 m tall, rarely more, of the dense formations of Cambodia and Southern Vietnam. Often cultivated as decorative. The wood was formerly much in demand to make fireworks powder. It
is also used to make boards. The bitter bark is prescribed in the stomach upset.

ឈ្មោះព្រឹក្សមួយកំពស់៨-១២ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃធំ នៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា និងវៀតណាមខាងត្បូង។ គេនិយមដាំជាឈើលំអ។ ដើមនេះគេប្រើពីជំនាន់ដើមសំរាប់ធ្វើកាំជ្រួច។ គេអាចប្រើធ្វើក្តារក្រាលផ្ទះ ។ សំបករស់ចត់ល្វីង សំរាប់ធ្វើថ្នាំរំលាយអាហារ។

Arbre, haut de 8-12 m, rarement plus, des formations denses du Cambodge et du Viêt-nam du Sud. Souvent cultivé comme ornemental. Le bois était autrefois très recherché pour la fabrication de la poudre pour les feux d’artifice. On l’emploie également pour faire des planches. L’écorce amère est ordonnée dans les embarras gastriques.
