PINANGA (Palmae)
Pinanga duperreana Pierre ex Gagnep.
Slender palm tree, growing in bundles, 2-6 m tall, of the dense and semi-dense formations of plain and moderate altitude, in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The terminal bud and the marrow of the trunk are edible. The fruits can replace areca nut in the betel quid.

ឈ្មោះតាលព្រឹក្សឆ្មារមួយប្រភេទដុះដុំគ្នា កំពស់ ២-៦ ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃធំ និងធំមធ្យមលើដីទំនាប និងលើភ្នំខ្ពស់មធ្យម នៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា លាវ និងវៀតណាម ។ គម និងខួរដើម គេអាចបរិភោគបាន ។ ផ្លែស៊ីជាមួយម្លូជំនួសស្លាធម្មតាបាន ។

Palmier grêle, croissant en touffes, haut de 2-6 m, des formations denses et semi-denses de plaine et de moyenne altitude, du Cambodge, du Laos et du Viêt-nam. Le bourgeon terminal et la moelle du tronc sont comestibles. Les fruits peuvent remplacer la noix d’arec dans la chique du bétel.
