Panax ginseng C.A. Mey.
The ginseng does not grow in Cambodia, but in Manchuria and Korea. The roots alone are known by Cambodians and especially by rich Chineses of Cambodia because they are sold at fabulous prices: about 5000 US$ per Kg. Their shape is that of a human head with prolongations featuring two arms and two legs. It would be an aphrodisiac and a powerful tonic for the convalescents. Unfortunately, in the business, there are forgeries of genuine ginseng.

ដើមនេះ មិនដែលដុះក្នុងប្រទេសខ្មែរឡើយ មានដុះតែក្នុងប្រទេស Corée និង Mandchourie ។ នៅស្រុកខ្មែរ គេស្គាល់តែឬស យិញសេង ដែលគេនាំមកលក់តម្លៃថ្លៃបំផុត ប្រហែល៣ម៉ឺនត្រណោត ក្នុង១គ.ក. ហេតុនេះអ្នកទិញជាចិន ឬខ្មែរដែលមានទ្រព្យច្រើន ។ ឬសយិញសេង ពិតប្រាកដ រាងសណ្ឋានស្រដៀងមនុស្សមានដៃពីរជើងពីរ ។ ឬសនេះគេទុកជាថ្នាំកម្លាំង ពូកែណាស់ សម្រាប់បុរស នឹងអាចលើកកម្លាំងអ្នកងើបពីឈឺ ។ តែគួរឲ្យស្តាយ យិញសេង ក្លែងក្លាយមានជាច្រើនដែលអ្នកជំនួញលក់គ្រប់ប្រទេស ។

Le ginseng ne pousse pas au Cambodge, mais en Mandchourie et en Corée. Les racines seules sont connues des Cambodgiens et surtout des Chinois riches du Cambodge car elles se vendent à des prix fabuleux : l’équivalent de 30.000 FF le Kg. Leur forme est celle d’une tête humaine avec des prolongement figurant deux bras et deux jambes. Ce serait un aphrodisiaque et un puissant tonique pour les convalescents. Malheureusement dans le commerce, il existe des falsifications du vrai ginseng.
