Nicotiana tabacum L.
Herb, originating from tropical America, cultivated in all the regions of the world for its leaves used as tobacco. The active principle is the nicotine which is a poison. In traditional Khmer medicine, the tobacco, under the form of plug, is used to treat the stings of venomous insects and cuts. It is a component of remedies : emetic and against dysentery.

ដើមថ្នាំជាតិណជាតិ ដែលកើតនៅប្រទេសអាមេរិកក្ដៅ គេដាំនៅគ្រប់ប្រទេសក្ដៅសកលលោក ដើម្បីយកស្លឹកហាន់ ធ្វើថ្នាំជក់ ។ ស្លឹកថ្នាំមានជ័រពុលមួយប្រភេទ ឈ្មោះនីកូទីន ដែលអាចធ្វើឱ្យវិលមុខ ។ ក្នុងក្បួនឱសថខ្មែរ ថ្នាំជក់ដែលទំពារ ហើយអាចព្យាបាលស្នាមមុតកាំបិត ពូថៅ ឬស្នាម សត្វសាហាវចឹក ។ គ្រូបុរាណយកថ្នាំជក់ ផ្សំធ្វើឱសថក្អួតពេលពុលអាហារ ឬរម្ងាប់ជម្ងឺមួល ។

Herbe, originaire de l’Amérique tropicale, cultivée dans toutes les régions du monde pour ses feuilles utilisées comme tabac à fumer. Le principe actif est la nicotine qui est un poison. En pharmacopée khmère. le tabac, sous forme de chique, est employé sur les piqûres des insectes venimeux et sur les coupures. Il entre dans des préparations de remèdes vomitifs et contre la dysenterie.
