Tree, 10-20 m tall, of the secondary and clear formations of plain, widely spread in Sri Lanka, in the Indochinese and Malay Peninsula, down to New Guinea and the North of Australia.
Light yellow wood, graded 3rd category in demand for construction.

Arbre, haut de 10-20 m, des formations secondaires et claires de plaine, largement répandu à Sri Lanka, dans la péninsule indochinoise, et malaise, jusqu’à la Nouvelle Guinée et le Nord de l’Australie.
Bois jaune clair, classé « 3ème catégorie » recherché en construction.
