MURRAYA (Rutaceae)
Murraya paniculata (L.) Jack
Shrub, 2-3 m tall, of the dense forests of Southeast Asia. Often cultivated near towns for the very nice-smelling white flowers. Flowers often used to scent the tea. Wood used to make knickknacks. In traditional medicine, the leaves and the fruits, astringent, are used as remedy against different diseases: diarrhoea. dysentery, fever.

Arbuste, haut de 2-3 m, des forêts denses du Sud-Est Asiatique. Souvent cultivé près des agglomérations pour ses fleurs blanches très odorantes. Fleurs utilisées souvent pour parfumer le thé. Bois employé pour faire des bibelots. En pharmacopée, les feuilles et les fruits, astringentes, servent de remède contre diverses maladies : diarrhée, dysenterie, fièvre.
