MORINDA (Rubiaceae)
Morinda citrifolia L.
Shrub, 4-10 m tall, of the clear forests of tropical Asia. Often cultivated near houses. Edible, leaves often eaten as vegetables in a special dish, "amôk". Ripe fruits eaten with some salt. In traditional medicine, the roots are used as a hypotensive medicine.

ចុល្លព្រឹក្សម្យ៉ាងកំពស់ ៤–១០ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃស្រោងនៃអាស៊ី ផ្នែកក្តៅ គេច្រើនដាំជិតផ្ទះ ។ ស្លឹកប្រើជាអាហារបាន ខ្មែរយើងនិយម ប្រើស្លឹក ញ ឬ ស្លឹកកន្ទួត សំរាប់ធ្វើម្ហូបម្យ៉ាងឈោ្មះ (amok) ។ ផ្លែទុំបរិភោគជាមួយអំបិលបាន ។ គ្រូថ្នាំបុរាណប្រើឬស ធ្វើថ្នាំព្យាបាលរោគឡើងឈាម ។

Arbuste, haut de 4-10 m des forêts claires de l’Asie tropicale. Souvent cultivé près des habitations. Feuilles comestibles, souvent consommées en légumes dans un plat spécial « amôk ». Fruits mûrs consommés avec du sel. En pharmacopée, les racines sont employées comme un médicament hypotensif.
