Limnophila micrantha (Benth.) Benth.
10-20 cm tall annual herb of the reclaimed paddy fields and wet places of plain and altitude up to 1400 m. widely met in Indian regions (India. Assam), in Southern China (Hainan) and in the Indochinese Peninsula. Rarely used in Cambodia to scent "sâmlâ:" but usually used in the nearby countries to flavor special dishes.

ម្អមស្វា ជា តិណជាតិប្រចាំឆ្នាំ កំពស់ ១០-២០ស.ម. ដុះក្នុងស្រែស្ងួតក្រោយរដូវច្រូត ឬលើដីសើម លើដីទំនាប និង លើភ្នំកំពស់រហូត ១៤០០ម នៃប្រទេសជាច្រើន ឥណ្ឌា អាស្សាម, ចិនខាងត្បូង និង ឧបទ្វីបឥណ្ឌូចិនទាំងមូល ។ ខ្មែរ យើងមិនចូលចិត្តប្រើម្អមសា្វបង់សម្លឡើយ តែនៅស្រុកដទៃទៀតខ្លះ គេប្រើស្លឹកសំរាប់ធ្វើគ្រឿងទេស ។

Herbe annuelle haut de 10-20 cm des rizières asséchées et des endroits humides de plaine et d’altitude jusqu’à 1400 m, largement rencontrée en régions indiennes (Inde, Assam), en Chine du Sud (Hainan) et dans la péninsule indochinoise. Rarement employée au Cambodge pour parfumer le « sâmlâ: » mais couramment utilisée dans les pays voisins pour aromatiser des plats spéciaux.
