ILLICIUM (Magnoliaceae)
Illicium griffithii Hook. f. & Thomson, var. cambodianum Finet & Gagnep.
Shrub or small tree, 4-15 m tall, of the dense forests, mostly in low and moderate altitudes in Cambodia and Southern Vietnam. It is plentiful in the stunted formations of Popokvil towards 900 m. The young leaves and barks are aromatic, used sometimes in traditional medicine. The fruits would be toxic.
ផ្កាចាន់ព្រៃ
ផ្កាចាន់ព្រៃ កំពស់ ៤-១៥ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃទួល ឬព្រៃភ្នំក្នុងប្រទេសខ្មែរ និង វៀតណាមខាងត្បូង ។ នៅស្រុកយើងផ្កាចាន់ព្រៃច្រើនដុះលើភ្នំពពកវិល ដែលកំពស់ប្រហែល៩០០ម ពីមាត់សមុទ្រ ។ ផ្លែបរិភោគមិនបានទេ ដោយមានជាតិពុល ។
ស្លឹកខ្ចីៗ និងសំបក អ្នកស្រុកនៅជើងភ្នំបូកគោពីដើម (មុនឆ្នាំ ១៩៧០) គេប្រើធ្វើថ្នាំព្យាបាលរោគដំបៅ ។

Arbuste ou petit arbre, haut de 4-15 m, des forêts denses, principalement de faible et moyenne altitude du Cambodge et du Viêt-nam du Sud. Il est abondant dans les formations rabougries de Popokvil vers 900 m. Les jeunes feuilles et écorces sont aromatiques, parfois utilisées en pharmacopée locale. Les fruits seraient toxiques.
