Hopea helferi (Dyer) Brandis
Tree, 3-25 m tall, of the decideous forests of plain and average altitude, up to 1000 m, in Southeast Asia. often cultivated in the Mekong delta and in the Malay peninsula. Rather hard, brown grey or yellowish brown. easy to work and not spliting. It makes constructions which last 7-8 years and boats up to 30 years. Resin much in demand for the manufacture of varnish.

គគីដែកជាព្រឹក្ស កំព ស់៣-២៥ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃជ្រុះស្លឹកលើដីទំនាប ឬលើភ្នំទាប ដែលកម្ពស់មិនលើសពី ១០០០ម នៃអាស៊ីផ្នែកអាគ្នេយ៍ ។ គេច្រើនដាំដើមនេះ ក្នុងដិលតា (delta) ទន្លេមេគង្គ និងនៅឧបទ្វីបជ្វា ។ ឈើមានពណ៌ត្នោតភាវ ឬ ត្នោតលឿងភាវ រឹងល្មម ស្រួលអារ មិនប្រេះឆារ សម្រាប់សង់ផ្ទះបានយូរប្រហែល៧-៨ឆ្នាំ ឬសង់នាវាជាប់យូររហូត ៣០ ឆ្នាំ ។ ជ័រគគីដែកមានតម្លៃ គេប្រើសម្រាប់ធ្វើថ្នាំលាបរលោង។

Arbre, haut de 3-25 m, des forêts décidues de plaine et de moyenne altitude, jusqu’à 1000 m, de l’Asie du Sud-Est, souvent cultivé dans le delta du Mékong et dans la péninsule malaise. Bois assez dur, gris-brunâtre ou brun-jaunâtre, facile à travailler pas susceptible de se fendre. Il permet des constructions qui tiennent 7-8 ans et des embarcations pouvant durer jusqu’à 30 ans. Oléorésine très recherchée pour la fabrication des vernis.
