HIBISCUS (Malvaceae)
Hibiscus rosa -sinensis L.
Shrub or small tree, 1-8 m tall, originating from China, widely cultivated in tropical Asia and in the temperate regions of the world, as decorative for the large flowers which stamens and the styles, welded in column, are exsertes and visible in the middle of the corolla. In traditional medicine, the flowers are used to make poultices applied to the tumors and the boils. Mixed in the seeds of papaya, they would have abortive properties.

គុម្ពព្រឹក្ស ឬព្រឹក្សតូចម្យ៉ាង កំពស់ ១-៨ម ប្រហែលនាំពីស្រុកចិនមកដាំទ្វីបអាស៊ី និងទ្វីបក្ដៅមធ្យម នៃអាមេរិក និង អឺរ៉ុប ។ គេដាំដើមរំយោល ជាលំអដោយផ្កាធំៗ មានទងលំអងផ្កាឈ្មោល និងបំពង់ស្បូនផ្កា តភ្ជាប់ជាសសរ វែងតូចយោង ចេញក្រៅមើលឃើញពីចម្ងាយ ។ គ្រូថ្នាំតែងយកផ្កាធ្វើថ្នាំបំពោក លើដំបៅដំពក និងបូសទ្រនិច ។ បើយកផ្ការំយោលលាយ ជាមួយគ្រាប់ល្ហុង ផ្កានេះអាចធ្វើឱ្យរលូតកូនបាន ពេលគេយកទៅបំពោកលើពោះនារីមានគភ៌ ។

Arbrisseau ou petit arbre, haut de 1-8 m, originaire de Chine, largement cultivé en Asie tropicale et dans les régions tempérées du monde, comme ornemental pour ses grandes fleurs dont les étamines et les styles, soudés en colonne, sont longuement exsertes et visibles au milieu de la corolle. En pharmacopée, les fleurs servent à faire des cataplasmes que l’on applique sur les tumeurs et les furoncles. Mélangées aux graines de papaye, elles auraient des propriétés abortives.
