Gnetum gnemon L.
Large liana of the semi-dense forests, climbing rather high in the trees. Originating from Java and Sumatra, this species spread in the whole Southeast Asia and is spontaneous in Cambodia: it is met especially in the central regions of the country. The ripe seeds, very farinaceouss, are in demand in period of scarcity. In the nearby countries, young leaves, inflorescences and fruits are used in cooking.

ឈ្មោះវល្លិធំមួយប្រភេទ វារឡើងដើមឈើធំៗ ក្នុងព្រៃក្រាស់មធ្យម ។ វល្លិនេះមានដើមកំណើតប្រទេសឥណ្ឌូណេស៊ី កោះ Java និង Sumatra ឥឡូវដុះឯងៗ នៅប្រទេសខ្មែរ និងប្រទេសច្រើនទៀតក្នុងទ្វីបអាស៊ីផ្នែកអាគ្នេយ៍ ។ គ្រាប់ទុំមាន ជាតិម្សៅច្រើន អាចបរិភោគជាអាហារជំនួសបាយពេលទុរិ្ភក្ស ។ នៅប្រទេសថៃ ស្លឹកខ្ចីៗ ផ្កា និងផ្លែខ្ចីៗ គេប្រើជាបន្លែ ។

Grande liane des forêts semi-denses, grimpant assez haut dans les arbres. Originaire de Java et de Sumatra, cette espèce se répand dans tout le Sud-Est Asiatique où elle est spontanée au Cambodge ; on la rencontre surtout dans les régions centrales du pays. Les graines mûres, très farineuses, sont recherchées pour la consommation en période de disette. Dans les pays voisins, jeunes feuilles, inflorescences et fruits sont employés en cuisine.
