GLYCOSMIS (Rutaceae)
Glycosmis pentaphylla (Retz.) Corrêa
Shrub, 2-6 m tall, of the secondary forests of Indochina (except in Northern Vietnam), India, China and the Philippines. Edible fruits. The branches and the crushed roots are used in the preparation of the rice alcohol. to scent it and to increase its yield. The infusions of dried leaves are prescribed to the young mothers to stimulate their appetite.

Arbuste, haut de 2-6 m des forêts secondaires de l’Indochine, (sauf au Viêt-nam du Nord), de l’Inde, de la Chine et des Philippines. Fruits comestibles. Les branches et les racines écrasées entrent dans la préparation de l’alcool de riz, pour le parfumer et en augmenter le rendement. Les infusions de feuilles desséchées sont ordonnées aux femmes post-partum pour leur ouvrir l’appétit.
