Gigantochloa albociliata (Munro) Kurz
Bamboo, originating from Burma, 2-10 m tall, introduced in Cambodia since long, where it became spontaneous in the clearings and around the villages. Edible shoots. Plant with a subtle smell, attracting bees which often make hives on its branches. Stalks often used for small constructions. In traditional Cambodian medicine, the roots are used as remedy against the malaria.

ឬស្សីនេ ះ កំពស់ ២-១០ម មានដើមកំណើតក្នុងស្រុកភូមា គេនាំមកដាំប្រទេសខ្មែរ ។ ឥឡូវដុះឯងៗជាច្រើន លើទីវាលជិតភូមិអ្នកស្រុក ។ ត្រពាំងគេប្រើសម្រាប់ធ្វើម្ហូបអាហារ ។ ឬស្សីឃ្លៃស្រុក មានក្លិនម្យ៉ាងនាំឱ្យសត្វឃ្មុំមករោម និងធ្វើសំបុកលើមែកដើមនេះ ។ គ្រូខ្មែរតែងយកឬសធ្វើថ្នាំព្យាបាលជម្ងឺគ្រុនចាញ់ ។ ដើមឬស្សី សម្រាប់សង់ខ្ទម និង រោង ។

Bambou, originaire de la Birmanie, haut de 2-10 m, introduit de longue date au Cambodge où il est devenu spontané dans les clairières et autour des villages. Pousses comestibles. Plante dégageant une odeur subtile qui attire les abeilles qui font souvent des ruches sur ses branches. Tiges souvent employées pour de petites constructions. En pharmacopée cambodgienne, les racines sont utilisées comme remède contre le paludisme.
