Garcinia merguensis Wight
Tree, 15-20 m tall, of the dense and secondary forests of Southeast Asia, often cultivated as decorative Edible fruits. The barks are sometimes used for the black dyeing. The trunk let pour a gamboge, browning in the light, that may be use for dyeing. Wood being of use to the small little durable constructions.

Arbre, haut de 15-20 m, des forêts denses et secondaires, de l’Asie du Sud-Est, souvent cultivé comme ornemental. Fruits comestibles. Les écorces sont parfois employées pour la teinture en noir. Le tronc laisse exSuder de la gomme-gutte brunissant à la lumière, pouvant être utilisée en peinture. Bois servant à de petites constructions peu durables.
