Garcinia hanburyi Hook.f.
Tree, 10-20 m tall, of the dense and secondary forests of Cambodia, Southern Vietnam and Thailand; cultivated in Singapore and in Java. All the parts of the plant are filled with a thick, sticky juice, the gamboge, used for the yellow watercolour. It is used also for the preparation of alcohol varnish and varnish for metals. In traditional Cambodian medicine, the gamboge is used to treat the cold and after bronchitis. It would be also vermifuge, against the tape worm. Wood, although little durable, is used in construction.

រង្គជាព្រឹក្ស កំពស់ ១០-២០ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃធំ និងព្រៃស្រោង នៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា វៀតណាម និងថៃឡង់ ។ គេនិយមដាំរង្គជាលំអនៅ Singapour និង Java ។ ដើមទាំងមូលមានជ័រស្អិត សម្រាប់ប្រើជាថ្នាំទឹក គូរគំនូរ ជាពណ៌លឿង ។ គេអាចប្រើជ័រនេះធ្វើវែរនី សម្រាប់លាបដែក ។ គ្រូខ្មែរប្រើជ័រធ្វើថ្នាំព្យាបាលជម្ងឺក្អក ផ្តាសាយ និងជម្ងឺរលាកទងសួត ។ ជ័រនេះ អាចប្រើជាថ្នាំព្រូនវែង ។ ឈើថ្មី បើមិនសូវជាប់យូរ អាចប្រើសម្រាប់សង់ផ្ទះបាន ។

Arbre, haut de 10-20 m, des forêts denses et secondaires du Cambodge, du Sud-Viêt-nam et de la Thaïlande ; cultivé à Singapour et à Java. Toutes les parties de la plante sont remplies d’un suc épais, visqueux, la gomme-gutte, utilisée pour la peinture à l’aquarelle en jaune. On l’utilise aussi pour la préparation des vernis à l’alcool et de vernis spéciaux pour métaux. En pharmacopée cambodgienne, la gomme-gutte est employée pour soigner le rhume et la bronchite. Elle serait également vermifuge, contre le ténia. Bois, quoique peu durable, est utilisé en construetion.
