ERIOBOTRYA (Rosaceae)
Eriobotrya japonica (Thunb.) Lindl.
Shrub, 2-4 m tall, originating from China or Japan, introduced and cultivated as decorative in Southeast Asia, India, America and Southern Europe. The ripe fruits are edible. The leaves are used for curing the wounds and would be anti-diarrhoeic. The wood is used to make musical instruments.

Arbuste, haut de 2-4 m, originaire de Chine ou du Japon, introduit et cultivé comme ornemental dans le Sud-Est Asiatique, en Inde, en Amérique et en Europe méridionale. Les fruits mûrs sont comestibles. Les feuilles servent à guérir les blessures et les plaies et seraient aussi antidiarrhéiques. Le bois est utilisé pour faire des instruments de musique.
