ECLIPTA (Compositae)
Eclipta prostrata (L.) L.
Ligneous herb, erected or diffuse, 10-80 cm tall, originating from tropical America, introduced and in the open places of all tropical regions of the world where it is known for its numerous uses and where it became spontaneous. The juice of the green leaves is used to dye hairs in dark black or for tattooing. In traditional medicine, the plant is used against numerous diseases, in particular asthma and bronchitis. The crushed leaves would stop bleedings. Their decoctions would be used to make hairs grow again.

ឈ្មោះស្មៅរឹងមួយប្រភេទ ដុះត្រង់ឬស្ទើរវារ កំពស់ ១០-៨០ស.ម មានដើមកំណើតក្នុងទ្វីបអាមេរិកក្តៅ នាំចូលប្រទេសដទៃ ឥឡូវដុះឯងៗ លើដីវាលក្នុងប្រទេសក្តៅសកលលោក ។ រុក្ខជាតិមានប្រយោជន៍ច្រើនមុខ ។ ស្លឹកវាសម្រាប់ធ្វើ ថ្នាំលាបសក់ឱ្យខ្មៅ ឬសម្រាប់សាក់ ។ គ្រូថ្នាំបុរាណប្រើដើមនេះផ្សំ ធ្វើជាឱសថជាច្រើនព្យាបាលរោគផ្សេងៗដូចជាជម្ងឺហឺត និងឈឺទងសួតជាដើម ។ គេយកស្លឹកបុកឱ្យល្អិត បិទស្នាមមុតដើម្បីឃាត់ឈាម ។ ទឹកស្ងោរនៃស្លឹក គេជឿថា អាចធ្វើអោយ ដុះសក់ឡើងវិ ញ ។

Herbe ligneuse, dressée ou diffuse, haute de 10-80 cm, originaire de l’Amérique tropicale, introduite et devenue spontanée dans les endroits découverts de toutes les régions tropicales du monde où elle est connue pour ses nombreux usages. Le jus des feuilles vertes sert à teindre les cheveux en noir foncé ou au tatouage. En pharmacopée, la plante est employée contre de nombreuses maladies, en particulier l’asthme et la bronchite. Les feuilles pilées seraient susceptibles d’arrêter les hémorragies. Leurs décoctions serviraient à faire repousser les cheveux.
