Dipterocarpus costatus G. Don
Tree, 25-40 m tall, of mixed dense decideous or half - decideous forests of plain and wet dense altitude forests, up to 1200 m, on well drained rich grounds. Species of the Indochinese and Malay Peninsula. Resin is used especially for the caulking of boats and the preparation of torches. Wood used for works not exposed to the elements.

ជាព្រឹក្សកំពស់ ២០-៤០ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃក្រាស់ក្លាយ ឬព្រៃក្រាស់មធ្យមជ្រុះស្លឹកតិច ឬច្រើនលើដីរាប ឬលើភ្នំខ្ពស់រហូត ១២០០ម លើដីជីជាតិ និងទឹកសម្រេងល្អ ។ ដើមនេះមានក្នុងឧបទ្វីបឥណ្ឌូចិន និងជ្វា ។ ជ័រសម្រាប់ប្រើការបិទទូក និងធ្វើ ចន្លុះ ។ ឈើអាចប្រើធ្វើគ្រឿងផ្ទះដែលនៅម្លប់ ។

Arbre, haut de 25-40 m, des forêts denses mixtes décidues ou semi-décidues de plaine et des forêts denses humides d’altitude jusqu’à 1200 m, sur sols riches bien drainés. Espèce de la péninsule indochinoise et malaise. L’oléorésine sert surtout pour le calfatage des bateaux et la confection des torches. Bois employé pour les travaux non exposés aux intempéries.
