Diospyros kaki L.f.
Tree, 6-20 m tall, cultivated especially in China, Japan and Northern Vietnam. In Cambodia, only the fruits are known: in the crystallized state they are sold on markets. According to the notes of a missionary (in Pételot II~98), "the fruit produces satisfaction and the peace of the heart; it uncorks the nose and is enemy of the alcohol; so it is necessary to refrain from giving this fruit to eat to a drunk man”.

ឈ្មោះព្រឹក្សមួយប្រភេទ កំពស់ ៦-២០ម គេដាំក្នុងស្រុកចិន ស្រុកជប៉ុន និងវៀតណាមខាងជើង ។ នៅប្រទេសខ្មែរ គេនាំផ្លែក្រៀមជាតំណាប់មកលក់ក្នុងផ្សារខ្មែរ ។ បើតាមយោបល់អ្នកផ្សាយសាសនាគ្រិស្តម្នាក់ (មានសរសេរ ក្នុង Pételot II : 98 ) “ ផ្លែទន្លាប់នេះធ្វើអោយមានការរីករាយ និងសន្តិភាពក្នុងចិត្ដពេលគេបរិភោគវា ផ្លែនេះអាចធ្វើអោយច្រមុះបាត់តឹង តែជាសត្រូវនឹងស្រា ហេតុនេះមិនត្រូវអោយអ្នកស្ រវឹងស្រាបរិភោគផ្លែនេះឡើយ ” ។

Arbre, haut de 6-20 m, cultivé surtout en Chine, au Japon et au Nord-Viêt-nam. Au Cambodge, seuls les fruits sont connus, en particulier à l’état confit trouvés en vente sur les marchés. Selon les notes d’un missionnaire (in Pételot II : 98), « le fruit produit le contentement et la paix du cœur ; il débouche le nez et est ennemi de l’alcool ; aussi faut-il s’abstenir de donner ce fruit à manger à un homme ivre ».
