Dillenia indica L.
Tree, up to 20 m tall, with thick trunk, up to 1.20 m, of dense or mixed formations, of Indochina, Malay peninsula, and Indonesia (Java, Borneo, Sumatra). Spherical fruits, about 10 cms in diameter, that may be eaten uncooked; they can also make compote. Yellow wood used for the manufacture of combs and in pottery work.

Arbre, haut jusqu’à 20 m, à tronc épais jusqu’à 1,20 m, des formations denses ou mixtes, de l’Indochine, de la péninsule malaise, et de l’Indonésie (Java, Bornéo, Sumatra). Fruits globuleux d’environ 10 cm de diamètre pouvant être consommés crus ; on peut en faire aussi des compotes. Bois jaune employé pour la fabrication des peignes et en tournerie.
