Dalbergia stipulacea Roxb.
Ligneous liana, climbing, sometimes umbrella shaped erected shrub, 4-8 m tall. Big fruits, 7-11 x 2-3 cm evoking those of the tamarind; species of Southeast Asia. The bark can replace areca nut in betel quid. The stalks are used to make links. The leaves give a black paint.

វល្លិអម្ពិលជាវល្លិធំវារឡើងដើមឈើធំៗ ពេលខ្លះជាចុល្លព្រឹក្សកំពស់ ៤-៨ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃស្រោង ឬព្រៃមាត់សមុទ្រនៃអាស៊ីអាគ្នេយ៍ ។ សំបកគេប្រើជំនួសស្លាបាន ។ ស្លឹកគេបុកជ្រលក់សំពត់ដូចមាកក្លឿ ។ ដើមគេធើ្វជាចំណងផ្សេងៗ ។

Liane ligneuse, grimpante, parfois arbuste dressé en parasol haut de 4-8 m. Fruits grands de 7-11 x 2-3 m rappelant ceux du tamarinier ; espèce du Sud-Est Asiatique. L’écorce peut servir de masticatoire à la place de la noix d’arec dans la chique du bétel. Les tiges servent à faire des liens d’assemblage. Les feuilles donnent une teinture noire.
