Dalbergia cochinchinensis Pierre
Tree, 8-30 m tall, of mixed decideous forests up to 500 m, met in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Red wood, with dark and clear stripes, becoming blackish when old, dense and hard but easy to work, very popular for the manufacture of luxury furniture and of joints. In Cambodia, it was formely restricted to the king’s needs.

ឈ្មោះព្រឹក ្សមួយប្រភេទ កំពស់ ៨ទៅ៣០ម ដុះក្នុងព្រៃជ្រៅ នៅប្រទេសថៃ កម្ពុជា និងវៀតណាមខាងត្បូង ។ ឈើ ក្រញូងឈាមមាន់ មានពណ៌ក្រហមឆ្នូតលាយជាមួយពណ៌ស ឬក្រមៅ ធាតុរឹង សាច់មត់ គេនិយមប្រើសម្រាប់ធ្វើវត្ថុ ឈើ ផ្សេងដូចជា តុ ទូ ប្រណិត និងមុខតំណជាដើម ។ ពីអតីតកាល ក្រញូងស្នែង គេទុកសម្រាប់តែសេចក្តីត្រូវការ នៃមហាក្សត្រ ។

Arbre, haut de 8-30 m, des forêts mixtes décidues jusqu’à 500 m d’altitude, rencontré en Thaïlande, au Cambodge au Laos et au Viêt-nam. Bois rouge, veiné de bandes sombres et claires, devenant noirâtre avec l’âge, dense et dur mais facile à travailler, très recherché pour la fabrication des meubles de luxe et des joints. Au Cambodge, il était autrefois r éservé pour les besoins du roi.
