Cymbopogon citratus (Nees) Stapf
Herb, 1-4 m tall, with a lemon smell, originating from India and Sri Lanka, cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. The leaves are used to make a digestive drink. They would contain a principa similar to the insulin. The leaves can be used as shampoo. In traditional medicine, the plant is used for the treatment of bladder troubles, of blood spitting and to treat the wounds caused by a cutting instrument.
