Crescentia cujete L.
Shrub, 2-6 m tall, originating from tropical America, cultivated as decorative. The fruit, peeled, gives a juice which, absorbed, would favor the breath and the blood circulation. The pulp of the green fruit and the juice would be laxative. The hollowed out fruit can are used as a mud or as tool to boil water.

Arbuste, haut de 2-6 m, originaire de l’Amérique tropicale, cultivé comme ornemental. Le fruit, pelé, donne un jus qui, absorbé, favoriserait la respiration et la circulation sanguine. La pulpe du fruit vert et le suc seraient laxatifs. Le fruit évidé peut servir de vase ou d’ustensile dans lesquels on peut faire bouillir de l’eau.
