COLEUS (Labiatae)
Coleus amboinicus Lour.
Herb, originating from the Moluccas, cultivated for its its aromatic leaves in aromatic smell, and condiments. It contains a volatile oil (carvacrol) which gives its aroma. In traditional medicine, the juice of leaves, sweetened, is given to the children to protect them from the cold. In external use, applications of leaves are made on the lips.

ឈ្មោះស្មៅ មួយប្រភេទ នាំចូលពីប្រទេស Moluques មកដាំនៅអាស៊ីផ្នែកអាគ្នេយ៍ ។ ជាដើមមានក្លិនក្រអូបប្រហើ ដោយមានជាតិក្រអូបម្យ៉ាងក្នុងស្លឹក ។ គេប្រើជាគ្រឿងទេស ។ គ្រូពេទ្យបុរាណតែងច្របាច់ស្លឹកជីរក្រាស់ជាមួយទឹក ហើយដាក់ស្ករ ឱ្យក្មេងៗផឹក ដើម្បីការពារកុំឱ្យផ្តាសាយ ។ ស្លឹកបុកជាថ្នាំ លាបលើបបូរមាត់កុំឱ្យប្រេះ ។

Herbe, originaire des Moluques, cultivée pour ses feuilles à odeur aromatique, et condimentaires. Elle renferme une huile volatile (carvacrol) à laquelle est dû son arôme. En pharmacopée, le jus de feuilles, sucré, est donné aux enfants pour les protéger du rhume. En usage externe, on fait des applications de feuilles sur les lèvres.
