Cassytha filiformis L.
Herbaceous liana, parasite, very slender stalks, interlaced, filiform, winding on the branches of shrubs or of trees; inexistent leaves or reduced to scales, met in the tropical regions of Asia and Africa. The stalks can give an excellent brown dye. All the parts of the plant contain a sticky mucilage that, mixed with lime powder, give a mastic used to seal the boats. In Cambodia, this species is used in traditional medicine against the lung diseases. The juice, in times of scarcity (1975-79) was used as shampoo.

វល្លិមាសជាវល្លិល្អិតមួយរស់ដោយសារគេ មែកតូចដូចខ្សែរអំបោះ វារពាត់ជុំវិញមែករុក្ខជាតិ ដែលអាចជាចុល្លព្រឹក្ស គុម្ពព្រឹក្ស ឬព្រឹក្ស ។ វល្លិនេះមាននៅគ្រប់ប្រទេសអាស៊ី និងអាហ្វ្រិកក្ដៅ ។ គេអាចយកវល្លិនេះធ្វើថ្នាំជ្រលក់សំពត់ អាវ ឱ្យពណ៌ក្រមៅ ។ រុក្ខជាតិវល្លិមាសមានជ័រស្អិត ដែលគេតែងលាយជាមួយកំបោរ សង់ផ្ទះ សម្រាប់ធ្វើ “ ដីលែង ” (mastic) ដើម្បីបិទប្រហោងទូក ។ នៅប្រទេសខ្មែរយើង គ្រូថ្នាំយកវល្លិមាស ធ្វើឱសថព្យាបាលជម្ងឺសួត ។

Liane herbacée, parasite, à tiges très grêles, entrelacées, filiformes, s’enroulant sur les branches des arbrisseaux, d’arbustes ou d’arbres, à feuilles nulles ou réduites à des écailles, rencontrée dans les régions tropicales d’Asie et d’Afrique. Les tiges peuvent donner une excellente teinture brune. Toutes les parties de la plante renferment un mucilage visqueux qui, mêlé à la chaux en poudre, donnent un mastic utilisé pour calfeutrer les embarcations. Au Cambodge, cette espèce est employée en pharmacopée contre les affections pulmonaires. Le suc, en temps de disette (1975-79) a été employé comme shampooing.
