BOMBAX (Bombacaceae)
Bombax thorelii Gagnep.
A 8 to 10 m tall tree of sunny formations along the Mekong river in Cambodia and Laos. Leafless but covered by flowers in Jan-Feb. Old trunks may be used by children as little boats.

ឈ្មោះព្រឹក្សមួយប្រភេទ កំពស់៨ទៅ១០ម ជ្រុះស្លឹកអស់ខែមករា ទៅមេសា តែមានផ្កា ឬផ្លែពេ ញដើម ។ ព្រឹក្សនេះ ដុះក្នុងកន្លែងណាដែលមានថ្ងៃ ក្នុងប្រទេសខ្មែរ និងលាវ ។ ដើមទាំងមូល គេនិយមទុកធ្វើទូកអោយក្មេងៗជិះលេង ។

Arbre, haut de 8-10 m, sans feuilles en janvier-février, mais couvert de fleurs, des formations ensoleillées, le long du fleuve Mékong, du Cambodge et du Laos. Le tronc âgé peut servir de petites embarcations, surtout pour les enfants.
