Averrhoa carambola L.
Shrub native to Brazil, cultivated in the tropics for its edible fruits. The sweet variety fruit is consumed fresh, the acid variety fruit may be eaten in special dishes with vermicelli called “nèm nuong”. The acid fruits have the reputation to be antiscorbutic and thirst quenching.

ជាចុល្លព្រឹក្សមានកំណើតជាមួយ និងដើមទ្រលឹងទឹង គេដាំគ្រប់ស្រុកក្ដៅ ដើម្បីយកផ្លែបរិភោគ ។ ពូជផ្អែមគេទុកធ្វើបង្អែម ឯពូជជូរ គេពិសារជាបន្លែជាមួយម្ហូបពិសេសខ្លះដូចជា " ណែមនឿង " ជាដើម ។ ផ្លែស្ពឺជាថ្នាំការពារជំងឺរាក់ស៊ី ធ្មេញ ។

Arbuste, de même originaire que l’espèce précédente, cultivé sous les Tropiques pour ses fruits comestibles. La variété sucrée est consommée en dessert; la variété acide se consomme dans des plats spéciaux à base de vermicelles «nèm nuong».. Ces fruits acides sont rafraîchissants et antiscorbutiques.
