ARTOCARPUS (Moraceae)
Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.
Small tree native to Malaya cultivated everywhere in the tropic for its edible fruits which may he sold on markets fresh or in preserve. Seeds rich in fecule are edible boiled or fried. Jack wood is used for furniture and for manufacture of music instruments.

ខ្នុរ ជាដើមឈើតូចមានដើមកំណើតនៅប្រទេសជ្វា គេតែងដាំរុក្ខជាត ិនេះពាសពេញប្រទេសអាស៊ីផ្នែកក្ដៅ ។ ផ្លែខ្នុរមានរសជាតិឆ្ងាញ់ណាស់ ។ មានដាក់លក់ក្នុងផ្សារស្រុកខ្មែរ គេលក់ផ្លែទាំងមូល ឬចិតជាចំណិត ។ នៅបរទេស មានសាច់ខ្នុរលក់ ជាអាហារប្រអប់ ។ ដើមខ្នុរ គេយកធ្វើ តុ ទូ និងគ្រឿងភ្លេង ។

Petit arbre, originaire de la Malaisie, cultivé partout en Asie tropicale. Fruits comestibles, très appréciés, vendus sur les marchés, à l’état frais, ou en conserve ; les graines, farineuses, sont consommées bouillies ou grillées. Le bois de jacquier s’emploie dans l’ébénisterie et pour fabriquer des instruments de musique.
