Amaranthus tricolor L.
Annual herb, native to India, introduced and naturalized in the tropics, often cultivated as comestible plant, eaten like spinach. The seeds have the reputation to be very nourishing because they are rich in fecule (62%). No medicinal used known in Cambodia, but in Malaya, the root decoction is considered as homeostatic.

ស្មៅប្រចាំឆ្នាំម៉្យាង មានដើមកំណើតពីស្រុកឥណ្ឌា មានដុះគ្រប់ប្រទេសក្ដៅសកលលោក ។ ពេលខ្លះគេដាំផ្ទីដូង សំរាប់ធ្វើបន្លែ គ្រាប់ផ្ទីនេះមានបិទូជាតិរហូតដល់ ៦២% ហេតុនេះគ្រាប់ទុកជាអាហារបាន ។ នៅស្រុកជ្វា គេយកប្ញសទៅស្ងោរធ្វើថ្នាំឃាត់ឈាមមិនឲ្យហូរ ពេលមានរបួស ។

Herbe annuelle, originaire de l’Inde, introduite et naturalisée dans toutes les régions tropicales, souvent cultivée comme plante potagère, et consommée cuite comme les épinards. Les graines, riches en amidon (62%), auraient une grande valeur nutritive. Pas d’usage médicinal connu au Cambodge, mais en Malaisie, la décoction de la racine est employée comme hémostatique.
