Aidia chantonea Tirveng.
Shrub or small tree, 2-18 m tall, which grows in dense forest of tropical Asia and Australia. The wood with its beautiful yellow color is excellent for inlaid-work. In local medicine the bark is used for the treatment of nettle-rash and fever.

Arbuste ou petit arbre, haut de 2-18 m, des forêts denses de l’Asie et de l’Australie tropicales. Le bois, d’un belle couleur jaune, est excellent pour la marqueterie. Les écorces sont utilisées en pharmacopée pour le traitement de l’urticaire et de la fièvre.
